It’s Summer!!

I hope everyone has had a good summer so far.  We just returned from a very relaxing few days at the beach.  It was great.  The weather could not have been much better, and the waves were huge!  The tropical storm in the Gulf caused some very high waves, which meant we got to see 25 – 30 surfers in the water.  It was a fun trip, but it would have been nice to stay for a few more days.  Does anyone have any exciting plans this summer?  I have a workshop (conference) that starts this Tuesday and goes until next Friday.  That’s a bummer, but hopefully I will learn a lot from it.  I’m hoping to get many good ideas to help me be a better teacher.  I’ll talk to you later.

at Tannihill (if that is how you spell it). I’ve also spent a week at my Mimi and Papa’s house. There house is on a lake, in fact the name of the lake is Login Martin. Oh, and Papa is pernouced Pawpaw but we spell it Papa. Mimi and Papa are my grandparents on my dad’s side. When we camped at Tannihill we camped with my mom’s sister’s family…….all six of them! Also my other grandparents, Nannan and Gramps. Now that I think about it it wasn’t really the first week of June it was the week inbetween May and June. Also I am going to GA camp in July. I do GAs at my church.(Hunter Street Babtist Church) For you boys yall have RAs. Well that’s all the exciting things so far but I’m sure there will be more! Bye!

Clay…Sorry I’m just now responding. I actually posted a message back to you a few days ago, but it didn’t post for some reason. Anyway, the name of the park in Orlando is Islands of Adventure. Do you think you will get a chance to go? If you like roller coasters, it is the place to be. Also, they have a great 3D Spiderman ride. It is really neat and unlike any other ride I’ve ever been on. I would love to hear all about your trip. Let me know if you go and when you get back. Have fun.

I have never met Ms. Bettis, but it sure sounds like she likes our blog. Isn’t that great? She is a 5th grade teacher from Paine Intermediate in Trussvile, according to her post. It sounds like she might do a blog next year. I think her students would really enjoy it. What do you think?

Has everyone had a great summer so far? Mine has been very restful. Only 5 more weeks before the baby comes. I can hardly believe it. Time is flying by. It has rained ALL day today, but we sure have needed it. I’m looking forward to hearing from everyone. Talk to you later.
